According to the New York Post, so take it as you will, Naomi Watts is going to star opposite Tom Hanks in the prequel to The Da Vinci Code, entitled Angels and Demons. Ron Howard will again be directing, although they have to wait for whenever the strike ends to get crackin' on it. With any luck, they'll figure out how to actually make a movie about a guy solving puzzles more interesting by then.
The upshot, however, is that it's a prequel, and thus Ian McKellen, the only entertaining part of the first film, can be brought back as an ally, before his poorly-thought-out betrayal.
