Not a headline anyone ever expected, but George Clooney has signed on to star in Men Who Stare At Goats, about a U.S. Army "First Earth" Battalion that was supposed to use paranormal powers. Soldiers with magic powers could be interesting, especially since the title refers to trying to kill a goat by staring at it. That's telekinesis, Kyle.
It's a Peter Straughan screenplay based on Jon Ronson's book, and it's said to be one of the best unproduced screenplays around. Apparently Clooney thought so, because even his production partner Grant Heslov is going to direct it.
