No one likes Uwe Boll, it seems.
Not only is there an online petition circulating trying to get him to stop making movies forever, but now the theatrical release of his new film Postal [watch the trailer], which was set to open on 1500 screens opposite Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull next weekend for some reason, has been scuttled, and will now only open in four theaters.
This makes sense, because Uwe Boll movies are generally dumb and bad and they never make money. See In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale for evidence. However, Boll thinks he is a genius, and he's calling this a conspiracy due to the political content of his film (which involves the Taliban and President Bush). The fact that all he does is make video game adaptations that no one likes seems to escape him.
He is, however, a mildly entertaining Hollywood story to follow. That is, until he goes completely insane and starts chasing rats with oboes down the streets of Frankfurt.
Watch the trailer for Uwe Boll's Postal, which is now essentially direct to DVD.
