Watchmen is one of the greatest comic books of all time, hailed for reinventing the genre into the juggernaut it is today, taking it from dismissed kiddie fare to adult-themed science fiction literature. Alan Moore's most famous work has long been considered unfilmable, but 300 director Zack Snyder is taking his stab at it anyway. There haven't been a lot of images released from the film so far, but we've got a look behind the scenes at the building blocks of the highly anticipated Watchmen movie, the colossal and varied set pieces necessary to bring 1985 New York City to life.
