Free Movie on Fancast: James Stewart in Broken Arrow

James Stewart and Jeff Chandler in Broken Arrow

Watch the 1950 film Broken Arrow, starring James Stewart and Jeff Chandler, for free in its entirety right here, right now on Fancast.

In the late 1870s, it falls to a man named Tom Jeffords (James Stewart) to brave the "savage" Indian territories to establish the means for mail carriers to pass safely through them, and hopefully end the war with the Apaches. In his efforts, he manages to befriend the Apache chief Cochise (Jeff Chandler), who teaches him that his people are not savages at all, but only kill in self-defense or retaliation. But when Tom bonds so firmly with the tribe that he marries an Apache girl (Debra Paget), things begin to take a turn for the tragic.

Hardly a politically correct film, but certainly one that bears watching as one of the first Westerns to ever portray Indians sympathetically, even if they weren't played by actual Indians. Then there's Stewart, and one should never turn down an opportunity to watch the man at work, just on general principle.

So watch Broken Arrow right here on Fancast. You'll be glad you did.

Watch the trailer for another film from director Delmer Daves, the original version of 3:10 to Yuma.
