The 1980s powerhouse duo of Andrew Ridgeley and George Michael is finally getting the big-screen treatment they deserve in a film entitled Wham!: No Whammies!
Maybe. Something like that, perhaps. Wham!'s former manager, Simon Napier-Bell, wants to make a Wham! movie concentrating on Wham!'s peak of popularity in the mid-80s, but he figures ex-Wham! George Michael will never allow the use of Wham!'s music for Wham!'s movie about Wham!, nor would he relinquish his power of Wham!-veto over any Wham! script. The inherent implication being that the other ex-Wham! Ridgeley would not have word one to say about the Wham! movie about Wham! featuring the music of Wham! is a bit of a whammy for sure.
So will a Wham! movie about Wham! ever Wham! itself into existence? Only Wham! will tell.
Wham!
