The nefarious despot who Arnold Schwarzenegger had to defeat will finally be getting his side of the story told.
Thulsa Doom, the sorcerer who killed Conan's family in Conan The Barbarian and enslaved him, was once a good guy, whose foibles led him down the dark path to tyranny, and although James Earl Jones played him in the seminal 1982 film, Djimon Hounsou will be the man charged with portraying Doom's fall from honor in a film he will star in as well as produce.
This is the latest in a line of projects dealing with Robert E. Howard's Conan mythos. Theres a relaunch of Conan himself in the works that plans to hew more towards the books, as well as a Red Sonja project being produced by Robert Rodriguez, to star Rose McGowan - who, incidentally, is nowhere near as tall as Brigitte Nielsen, but then again, few people are. It'll be interesting to see which one actually gets finished first.
