Hancock director Peter Berg will produce and direct Hercules: The Thracian Wars, based on the comic book series by Steve Moore. This take on Hercules is a darker spin, with the Prince of Power and his allies charged with uniting the tribes of Thrace in order to mold them all into a conquering horde by a tyrant named Cotys. It's a series full of brutal violence and Hercules is certainly not always depicted as a stalwart and noble hero. It'll be interesting to see how close to the 300 model it hews.
