"W" Stars Brolin and Wright Tasered and Pepper-Sprayed in Bar Fight

Josh Brolin, Jeffrey Wright

The foolish and naive hope that the bar fight reported in Shreveport, Louisiana, involving W stars Josh Brolin and Jeffrey Wright was some kind of good-natured down-home Burt Reynolds-style fisticuffs has been dashed by the report that it was actually an ugly racist incident. Brolin was reportedly trying to make peace while angry, vulgar cops pepper-sprayed both of them and tasered Wright repeatedly while he was prone on the ground, with racial slurs being pitched at him.

Apparently, the city attorney is still debating whether or not to file charges against the actors, for "interfering with a police officer."

Forget it, Jake. It's Shreveport.

UPDATE: The Shreveport PD says everything was handled professionally, despite witness reports, and that they've reviewed all the in-car audio and video to prove it. If there's actually a cell-phone video of the confrontation out there, we'll likely see it soon.

They should take those b*stard cops and hang 'em up upside down. I hope Wright sues the hell out of them, massively and publicly.
