Chiwetel Ejiofor in Redbelt

Redbelt [watch the trailer]
"David Mamet's samurai movie" is not a phrase anyone ever expected to hear, but this contemporary tale about a martial arts instructor (Chiwetel Ejiofor) struggling to live by the code in a world full of gray areas and exploitative bastards like Tim Allen manages to refine the genre for a new era. Read the review here.

What Happens In Vegas [watch the trailer]
Cameron Diaz and Ashton Kutcher get drunk in Vegas, get married, then win a lot of money before they can get it annulled, and thus a "war of the roses" begins to try and get the other one to tap out of the marriage first. Comedy!

Where in the World is Osama Bin Laden? [watch the trailer]

August [watch trailers & clips]

Purple Violets [watch the trailer]
Edward Burns' latest directorial effort puts him firmly in the arena he loves so much to explore - relationships. This time, it's the story of Patti (Selma Blair), a struggling writer who, along with her friend Kate (Debra Messing), run across the men they used to date in college - Brian (Patrick Wilson), Patti's writer ex who is currently in a relationship with a younger woman, and Murph (Burns), who is trying to find a way to apologize for how he treated Kate. They used to be thick as thieves, and their attempts to reconnect with each other lead to some really sticky and complicated emotional entanglements.

Postal [watch the trailer]
Ah, Uwe Boll, the king of the awful video game adaptation. This film was scheduled to open wide opposite Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, until everyone collectively seemed to realize that Uwe Boll is an awful director - confirmed by the petition circulating to try to get him to stop making movies forever - and they released in only four theaters. It's about a Postal Dude and his wife Bitch who fight the Taliban. Yeah, no.
