Coffee and CIgarettes

Watch the trailer for Jim Jarmusch's Coffee and Cigarettes.

In 1986, acclaimed and unique director Jim Jarmusch filmed a short in which comic geniuses Steven Wright and Roberto Benigni had a strange conversation about coffee and cigarettes while drinking coffee and smoking cigarettes.

In 1989, he shot another short in which Steve Buscemi expound on Elvis Presley's evil twin while he watched two of Spike Lee's siblings, Cinque and Joie, smoke cigarettes and drink coffee.

In 1993, he shot one of music legends Tom Waits and Iggy Pop having a strained conversation in which Tom reveals he is secretly a doctor.

Then he shot eight more short vignettes, all with smoking cigarettes and drinking coffee as a common thread, and the result is Coffee and Cigarettes, the weird comedy you are about to watch right here on Fancast. Alfred Molina insists that he is a distant cousin of Steve Coogan. Cate Blanchett plays herself and a fictional cousin of hers. Jack White shows Meg White a Tesla coil that he's built. And Bill Murray is working as a waiter, serving coffee to GZA and RZA of the Wu-Tang Clan.

You should never turn down an opportunity to watch a Jim Jarmusch film. Especially not a funny one with these great people in it and that's also free.

Watch Jim Jarmusch's Coffee and CIgarettes for free in its entirety right here, right now on Fancast.
