Apologies if you saw that headline and thought 'hot damn, Michelle Monaghan and Michelle Rodriguez will be enjoying seafood in a movie soon!' No, I'm afraid we're talking about Dominic Monaghan and Freddy Rodriguez joining a movie called Fortuna, and then a lame obscure Star Wars joke on top of that. However, Barthelemy Grossman's film sounds startlingly relevant for a futuristic horror thriller with hints of The Running Man. Set 92 years from now, a complete social collapse has destroyed the middle-class, and the few superwealthy set up a game called Fortuna to try and lower the poverty rate by giving a thousand poor people to try and win their way into the upper class. The game, of course, has deadly consequences and feels a smidge Soylent Green as well, if Grossman decides to go that route. Our two signees here will be playing desperate contestants. It remains to be seen whether or not they do requests.
